The Archbishop of Australia, His Eminence Makarios, in a message to the Greek Orthodox flock, following a new pandemic outbreak in New South Wales and its capital, Sydney, emphasized what he called the duty of all to mobilize their greatest reserves of love and charity in order to create a strong protective network for those suffering and in need — and even in the midst of severe constraints.

A pandemic-related death of a patient was reported this week in Sydney, the first confirmed Covid-19 fatality in Australia since last December.
