Patriarchate of Jerusalem celebrates feast of Nativity of St. John the Forerunner (based on Julian calendar)

The commemoration was celebrated by the Jerusalem Patriarchate at the place of St. John’s Nativity, in Ain Karem of Judea. The site hosts a Cathedral of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist since the days of the Patriarch of Jerusalem Cyril II, in the mid-19th century.
