12 years since the repose in the Lord of Elder Iosif of Vatopedi

Today marks the 12-year anniversary of the repose in the Lord of Elder Iosif of Vatopedi.

One of the reposed Elder’s spiritual offspring is the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
The Elder Iosif is considered as a modern-day reformer of the & Great Monastery of Vatopedi and the founder of the Vatopedi brotherhood, a significant figure in contemporary of Athonite monasticism and Orthodoxy. The Elder Iosif was himself a subordinate of St. Joseph the Hesychast.

Several features have been posted today on Pemptousia television, including the exodios funeral service 12 years ago at the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
