Serbia’s Vucic: Kosovo Albanians weren’t interested in dialogue, only recognition
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday underlined that a delegation of Kosovo Albanian leaders, who had arrived a day earlier in Brussels for a new round of talks between Belgrade and the latter, were absolutely not interested in any dialogue.
Speaking to reporters about Tuesday’s resumption of such bilateral contacts, Vucic said he would address a parliamentary session next week to brief MPs on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, as well as Serbia’s plans and ideas.
He nevertheless emphasized that the only thing the Pristina delegation was interested in, and actually demanded, was recognition by his government, something he said he flatly refused.
In a news item from the same region, the Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Porfirije, on Wednesday received in Belgrade Amb. Kairat Ab-drah-MA-nov, the High Commissioner on National Minorities for the Organization of Security & Cooperation in Europe.
His Holiness thanked the top Kazakhstan diplomat for the visit, as well as what he called the trust and attention he has conveyed to the position, and towards the status of national minorities in Serbia.
