Feast day of Mary & Martha, sisters of Lazarus
The Church today venerates the memory of Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus. The Holy Myrrh-bearers, together with their brother Lazarus, were especially devoted to our Savior, as we witness from the accounts given in the Gospels.
Today is also the feast day of Our Father Metrophanes, Archbishop of Constantinople.
